Boris Levin
Founder & Managing Director
Boris Levin is an industrial technology executive and board leader with deep experience building and scaling employee-owned manufacturing companies. Over the course of his career, he has worked at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, leadership development, and employee ownership, helping organizations translate ownership culture into sustained performance and long-term value.
Boris most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Mott Corporation, an employee-owned advanced materials manufacturer serving semiconductor, defense, energy transition, and life sciences markets. Over more than a decade, he led the company through strategic repositioning, leadership development, and global expansion, culminating in its $1B acquisition by IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX), one of the most respected industrial technology companies in the world. Throughout this period, the company strengthened its ownership culture while developing a new generation of operating leaders and expanding its presence in critical technology markets.
Following the acquisition, Boris served in enterprise growth leadership within IDEX Health & Science Technologies, the company’s largest business segment. In this role, he helped lead post-acquisition integration, development of segment growth strategy, and the deployment of AI-enabled industrial capabilities across the platform.
Earlier in his career, Boris held senior leadership roles across multiple ownership structures. At Nypro, a global healthcare manufacturing platform with more than 17,000 employees, he served as Group President of the largest division within the company’s ESOP structure prior to its ~$700M acquisition by Jabil Inc. (NYSE: JBL). At ACMI, a private equity-backed medical technology company, he led a division through its ~$500M acquisition by Gyrus Group PLC. He also helped build the life sciences segment at SupplierMarket.com, a Sequoia Capital-backed startup marketplace later acquired by Ariba.
Across these organizations, Boris developed a reputation for clarifying strategy, building strong leadership benches, and installing disciplined operating systems that allow companies to scale while preserving the values and culture that make employee-owned organizations successful.
Through these roles, he partners with boards, trustees, and leadership teams to strengthen strategic clarity, leadership capability, and operating discipline while helping organizations build companies capable of long-term value creation and strategic optionality.
Boris holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University. He began his working life as a pot washer in a kitchen—an experience that continues to shape his belief that leadership starts with humility, discipline, and earning trust.
