Why All Hands?

We — Boris Levin, Nathan Cohen and General (ret) McKenzie — could not be more excited to launch All Hands. We are operating partners helping employee-owned companies scale through daily discipline of strategy development and execution. The benefits of employee ownership are clear: firms grow faster and employees report greater engagement and enjoy better financial stability.

First and foremost, it reflects how we believe growth happens and who should reap its rewards. CEOs are not the sole proprietors of the best ideas. Leadership teams are not endowed with some special provenance that allows them to see the future. Instead, we believe they are stewards of the best ideas that come from all hands, from the line worker all the way up. We know this, because we've lived this.

We also believe All Hands describes our approach to working with companies. We are not consultants. We are an all-hands on-deck type of firm; we embed ourselves within ESOP firms to make daily changes that are felt. Strategies that change behaviors. Proven communication systems (daily/weekly/monthly cadences) that drive alignment and speed. Measurable outcomes: revenue, margin, velocity, bench strength.

Last but not least, we believe in the primacy of the All Hands meeting, a unique opportunity for leadership to speak directly to the entire company. It's our firm conviction that leadership is defined not by the brilliance of one's ideas but by one's ability to communicate.
